What are your hopes for 2025?
With 2024 coming to a close, we have a whole new year to look forward to. What are your hopes for 2025? We put that question to attendees of our recent News and Brews community pop-up.

My hope for 2025 is that we all just have a good time.

I hope for 2025 to get at least five new books out and to hopefully get a little income from it. That’s not the point.

My hope for 2025 is that someway, somehow we as a people of this country can work our way through our differences regardless of all this political divide, try to find ways to come together a little bit more.

My hope for 2025 is for all of my friends family and colleagues to be happy and healthy for the world to begin to experience more of a compassionate approach to one another. Crew of fatal US military crash included Alabama father recently deployed
The six U.S. service members who died in the crash of a U.S. military refueling aircraft included an Alabama father who had just been promoted and deployed. The U.S. government released the identities of the deceased service members Saturday.

The Alabama Senate unanimously voted to expand the public service commission, and create a Secretary of Energy to address rising electricity prices. A bill in the House would go even further, requiring rate case hearings and limiting utility profits.
