There was plenty of political conflict last year between Birmingham Mayor William Bell and the City Council, plus fights surrounding the Birmingham Water Works Board. This year looks to offer up more of the same with a mayoral election coming up in August. We talk about what to expect in 2017 with Alabama Media Group columnist John Archibald. The six U.S. service members who died in the crash of a U.S. military refueling aircraft included an Alabama father who had just been promoted and deployed. The U.S. government released the identities of the deceased service members Saturday.
